By comprehensively and integratively analyzing the "mitochondria-gut bacteria interaction," in which mitochondria and intestinal bacteria work together to regulate human health, we will clarify the regulatory mechanisms and develop non-invasive diagnostic methods and new therapeutic agents for mitochondrial function. By 2040, we aim to create a society where healthy longevity is achieved until the age of 100 through early detection of mitochondrial dysfunction and early intervention and treatment with diet, exercise, and medication.
